Pheasant (Chrysolophus amherstiae) - bird of the family kurowatych occurring in Tibet, China and Burma, and artificially brought to Britain. There is a clear sexual dimorph ism. The male has a green head with a red stain on the top, surro unded by black and white ruff. Ridge of green, blue wings, rump yellow-red, black and white tail. The female is smaller and much less proved, maskujÄ…co colored, brown-black. Mountain slopes covered with bamboo and shrubs.
